Stuck, or a question the app does not answer? Write to us. We read every message and answer as soon as we can.
How to reach us
- Questions and problems: hello@timetoread.now. If it is about your account, tell us the email address you sign in with, so we can find it.
- Your data and your privacy: privacy@timetoread.now.
- Press: press@timetoread.now.
Time to Read is made by It’s Time To Read, a Dutch sole trader (eenmanszaak), KvK 94739374, Casembrootstraat 60 RD, 1972 CC IJmuiden, the Netherlands.
Your subscription
Cancelling or changing your plan
The subscription is billed by Apple or Google, so that is where you cancel it or change plan, not in the app.
- On an iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Time to Read.
- On Android: open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- From the app: You, Settings, Subscription, “Manage in the store” opens the same page.
Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription, and neither does deleting your account. Once you cancel, everything stays open until the end of the period you already paid for.
The free week
The yearly plan starts with seven days free. The monthly plan has no free week. To pay nothing, cancel at least a day before the seven days are up.
Restoring a purchase
On a new phone, or after reinstalling, sign in with the same account as before. If the app still shows you the plans, tap Restore at the bottom of that screen, beside Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. It looks for the subscription on the Apple ID or Google account the phone is signed in to, so that has to be the one you paid with. If it finds nothing, write to us.
Your account and your data
Deleting your account
In the app: You, Settings, Your data, “Delete my account”. Nothing is erased for thirty days, so a tap you did not mean is not the end of it, and for that whole time the same screen lets you call it off and keep everything. After that your shelves, ratings and questions go for good. Answers you gave other readers stay, without your name on them. The privacy policy says exactly what stays and why.
Cancel your subscription in the store first: deleting your account does not stop Apple or Google from billing you.
A copy of everything we hold
You, Settings, Your data, “Send me everything you hold”. A file with your shelves, ratings, questions and answers arrives by email.
Other readers
Reporting a reader or a message
Wherever another reader’s words reach you, in an answer, a message, a review, a comment, a club or a profile, you can tap Report this: on the screen itself, or behind the three dots on a row. Choose what is wrong and we look at it. Below the reasons is Block this reader, which works at once: you will not see each other again.
If a report is not enough, write to us as well.
Languages
The app is in English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. It follows your phone’s language, and You, Settings, Language changes it.
Privacy and terms
What we store, why, and how to get rid of it: the privacy policy. The rules of the subscription and the referral programme: the terms.
